About this property

On the edge of the wondrous Yorkshire Dales National Park lies the little village of Embsay where this delightful property rests. The house forms part of the peaceful Primrose Mill estate, a redevelopment of an 18th Century spinning mill. 15 Tannery Lane is a mid-terrace house, perfect for a small family or group looking to find adventure and explore this amazing area. Discover a welcoming and homely sitting room, arranged and decorated in a warm but contemporary style, you can look forward to returning here after a long walk in the Dales, choosing from two inviting, soft sofas you can relax in front of the Smart TV for a quiet way to end the day. Move into the kitchen/diner when it's time to get dinner cooking, the chef of the evening can get cooking using the ample range of appliances including a double electric oven and a large gas hob, while the rest of the party crack open a bottle of wine. Let the conversation subside as you tuck into your feast, before continuing your evening in the enclosed terraced garden outside on a summer's eve with outdoor furniture to seat all. Upstairs on the first floor you can choose between two beautiful bedrooms, either a king-size which boasts its own en-suite shower room, and a twin room, each enjoying fabulous bed linen and a cohesive colour palette. Find the bathroom to be fully tiled and home to a bath which has a hand-held shower attachment, ideal for when you want a peaceful soak in the tub. The quaint village of Embsay offers a lovely attraction in the form of the Embsay to Bolton Abbey Steam Railway Line, a heritage line which was reopened in 1981, you can hop on the train and travel past delightful scenery before coming to Bolton Abbey where you can find the ruined monastery built by Augustinian monks. Embsay Moor just above the centre of the settlement is home to an amazing rock formation and Embsay reservoir. Head into the town of Skipton and visit Skipton Castle, a medieval castle with a dungeon too; learn more about local history in The Craven Museum where a collection of exhibits are on display, or take a boat trip along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Of course the Yorkshire Dales National Park is the standout attraction in these parts, with endless walking routes available for all levels of ability, with lovely villages and towns scattered throughout. 15 Tannery Lane is a wonderful base for a group seeking to explore the Dales.

When we arrived the fridge was dirty, the sofa was heavily stained and there were cobwebs and dust throughout. The neighbours were rude and discourteous and the dining room chairs unsafe. Also the property happens to be up for sale which may be reflective of the standard and level of cleanliness experienced.

Well located with walks and pubs at the doorstep, and world class attractions like Malham Cove a short drive away. The property met all our needs for a family of four and was equipped to a high standard.

Need someone with tech savvy for operating TV/Netflix. Could do with a suitcase holder for unpacking and for ladies- a shelf for use in bedroom by mirror for makeup/hair dressing. Appreciated tea/wine and set up for arrivals and good quality kitchen/ware.better for those fit and tall!
