The historic market town of Masham is situated in Wensleydale alongside the River Ure. The town boasts a huge market square, where a Wednesday market has been joined by a popular Saturday market. The town boasts galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs and has become best known as the home of two breweries Theakstons of Old Peculier fame and the Black Sheep Brewery.

It was both cosy and spacious, warm when the weather certainly wasn't and very attractive, as were the views. The owner was friendly and helpful and the location, right on the moors, spectacular, with lovely, accessible woods just across the field for more sheltered walking. Found Masham, nearby, to be a delightful village that provided for all my shopping needs.
