This delightful stone-built terraced cottage dates back to 1751 and is situated in a courtyard, just off the market square in the town of Leyburn. With character and charm throughout, this welcoming cottage is an ideal romantic bolthole for a couple wishing to explore this area of Yorkshire. Set over two floors, your cosy holiday home has a compact, well-equipped kitchen with Belfast sink and a lovely sitting room with original beams and a dining area set under the stairs. On the first floor is a double bedroom which also has the feature of an original beam and views of the courtyard. Completing the accommodation is a modern bathroom with bath and shower over. The market town of Leyburn, known as the ‘Gateway to Wensleydale’ has a weekly market, tea rooms, pubs and shops. Only seven miles away is the market town of Richmond with cobbled, narrow streets, a weekly and monthly farmers’ market, wonderful architecture and castle walls. Within reach are many attractions and places to visit, including Constable Burton Hall Gardens, The Forbidden Corner, ruins of Castle Bolton and Middleham, with its Norman Castle. Also in the area are Aysgarth Falls, the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, with pretty villages to visit and of course an abundance of walks and cycle routes. A cosy retreat, with something for everyone close by.
