For those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and love country walks, Seaton Cottage offers just that. Family and friends will enjoy stylish accommodation right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the picturesque village of Carlton-in-Coverdale.
Built in Yorkshire stone and originally the village shop and post office, you really will feel like you have reached your destination when you set foot inside this cosy yet modern cottage sleeping up to six guests. Featuring views from almost every room, chunky original beams on the first floor and a wonderful dining kitchen make for the perfect space for a get together over dinner after a day out exploring. The ground floor boasts two reception rooms; an attractive smaller sitting room featuring a corner sofa and further second sitting room with luxurious soft furnishings flanking the wood burning stove. The spacious dining kitchen is exceptionally bright and well-equipped with steps that lead to the rest of the cottage. The staircase from the hallway leads to three bedrooms and one family bathroom. Bedroom one has the added benefit of stunning views and an en-suite shower room, whilst the twin bedroom overlooks the garden to the rear.
Through the utility room, steps lead to the outside raised decking area with rural views towards Carlton Peat Moor and Penhill. Here enjoy dining alfresco whilst keeping warm around the firepit, sinking into the garden furniture with seating for up to six guests. If the weather takes a turn then pop across the road to the local pub, The Foresters Arms for good homemade grub and pint of local real ale.
Situated just a short drive from the historic town of Middleham, where you will never be far from the North's leading racehorse trainers and the gallops in which they train, a sight worth seeing as you set off on your trip for the day.
