The delightful sitting room, offers views of the garden and the magnificent Swaledale countryside, with a kitchen and dining area, as well as two welcoming bedrooms, one of which has fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. The garden at this Swaledale cottage is ideal for alfresco dining. Within a short walk is the village pub, which serves fine ales and good food, whilst three miles away is the popular village of Reeth, with a further selection of pubs. Just a short drive are the market towns of Hawes, Leyburn and Richmond. Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater and Hardraw Force, England's highest single drop waterfall, are all nearby, ensuring this Swaledale cottage is a perfect base for visiting the many attractions and towns the area has to offer.
A scattering of traditional farms and cottages make up the village of Low Row situated to the north of the River Swale. The village of Reeth just a short drive away dates back to Saxon times and became of sufficient size and importance to be mentioned in the Domesday Book. Its eighteenth-century houses and hotel clustered around the triangular village green make it one of the very popular Dales villages. Askrigg better known to millions as Darrowby in TV's James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small" is just a short drive away as well as Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater and Hardraw Force (England's highest single drop waterfall at 99ft).

Plenty of places to explore, friendly and helpful owner who lives next door, the Punchbowl Inn serves lovely food and is only a 5 minute walk away. Would definitely go back.

The host was friendly, welcoming and helpful, pointing out a walk across the meadow to the path by the river and leaving some kitchen essentials to help prepare drinks and food when we first arrived. We loved our stay there.
