We had a lovely stay at Lyncroft with our family, it’s a very comfortable and homely cottage that’s well set up for kids. We enjoyed exploring the dales and local area, lots of places to explore and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend.

There was a problem with the heating/boiler and the cottage could not get above 13 degrees. Thankfully a fan heater in the ‘snug’ enabled us to huddle in there the 1st evening. But the rest of the cottage was icy. A phone call to the office resulted in a maintenance man calling and by lunchtime had adjusted the boiler settings and bled the radiators. ( the radiator in the main bathroom remained cold) It took the rest of the day for the temperature to rise to 18 degrees. There was also no promised starter pack of logs on arrival so we were unable to light the open fire. This again was resolved the next day. Could we suggest a non slip mat for the en-suite bathroom? One of our party skidded - she is in her mid 70’s so this could have been a disaster. A glass cafetière would also have been welcome. But the furnishings and fittings were generally very plush!
