Situated over two floors, the apartment offers light and airy accommodation, with a well-equipped modern kitchen leading out on to a quiet rooftop terrace; ideal to sit with a glass of wine on a balmy summer evening. The pleasant sitting room has fine views of the bustling high street, whilst on the next floor the bedrooms are tastefully furnished and decorated. A minute's walk from the apartment brings you to an array of independent shops, pubs and quality tea rooms. There is a vibrant weekly market, whilst a short stroll away is a picturesque golf course. This is a good base to enjoy dramatic moorland, Castle Howard stately home and gardens, museums including Ryedale Folk Museum and Beck Isle Museum, and castles at Pickering and Helmsley. Why not visit nearby Eden Camp Second World War Museum and Rievaulx Abbey? Alternatively, spend a cultural day in the historic city of York. A well-placed apartment in a beautiful area.

    Positioned on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and set between Helmsley and Pickering is the attractive market town of Kirkbymoorside. Full of traditional Yorkshire buildings, this pretty town is the centre for all local farms and villages. Visitors to this lovely settlement will find a variety of tea-rooms, pubs and restaurants in addition to a number of high quality antique shops. There is also a market every Wednesday. Nearby Pickering is also worth visiting as the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway. With excellent walking and cycling routes though the magnificent scenery of the National Park, in addition to villages of Hutton le Hole and Lastingham all within easy driving distance, visitors to Kirkbymoorside will be spoiled for choice.
