About this property

Lynnfield is a beautiful large Victorian house with captivating sea views, situated in the picturesque seaside village of Robin Hood's Bay.

Lynnfield is a beautiful large Victorian house with captivating sea views, situated in the picturesque seaside village of Robin Hood's Bay. It offers easy access to the lower and upper village, the beach and seaside, the Cleveland Way, cycle track and bus routes into Whitby and Scarborough.

In 1897 William Storm, a Master Mariner, and his wife Hannah Mary Storm commissioned the building of this dwelling and named it Lynnfield. This spacious and elegant property has retained some remarkable original features such as servant bells, an old wooden clothes dryer, stained glass entrance door and original floor tiles in the hall. Four of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms and TVs with the top floor double bedroom having a shower room on the same floor. The top floor snug was designed as a Captain's Cabin with ship cabin windows and window seats, from which to admire picturesque sea and moor views.

Lynnfield is a unique property combining traditional character and charm with high quality and modern comforts. It is set on three levels and offers very attractive and comfortable accommodation for groups, family reunions and special occasions. It comfortably accommodates ten people. Situated on the Yorkshire coast, Lynnfield offers easy access to the North York Moors National Park and heritage coast, Whitby, Scarborough, York, Flamingo Land, Dalby Forest and many other tourist attractions.

This was an excellent house to share with different generations of our family . The location and space were wonderful. It would be improved by a downstairs toilet that wasn’t in an ensuite but otherwise it was great .
