Hayes Cottages is a beautifully converted, 17th century barn overlooking a small lake in rural North Yorkshire, just 2 miles from the village of Scalby and 5 miles from the Victorian seaside town of Scarborough. There is a double and single bedroom with the main bathroom on the first floor, as well as a downstairs bedroom with a wet room and separate toilet. There is a games room, a summer house and garden furniture for relaxing and enjoying the wonderful natural surroundings. Even the dogs have been considered with a kennel in the enclosed garden and plenty of off road walks nearby.
An ideal location for heading out and enjoying Yorkshire’s striking coastline and the North York Moors National Park, and at its heart the village of Goatland, made famous by TVs Heartbeat. Scarborough boasts 2 large bays, North and South, each with its own charm. The award winning Filey beach is just a 10-minute drive beyond Scarborough and the gothic fishing town of Whitby lies further to the north and is well worth a visit with its famous abbey, cobbled streets and now home to Captain Cook’s ship, The Endeavour. Beach 2 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
