Peacefully tucked away in central Whitby is this attractive, mews-style townhouse. With a light and modern feel throughout, it is perfect for families wanting to discover this wonderful historic port and enjoy a traditional seaside holiday. The property is set over three floors, with a spacious open plan living area, with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable leather sofas and a dining area. French doors open onto a sheltered enclosed courtyard, which catches the sun in the mornings, ideal for a mid-morning coffee. There are two bedrooms on the first floor and a lovely king-size bedroom, with en-suite shower room and TV, is on the second floor. With both a family bathroom and a ground floor cloakroom, Oystercatcher Cottage provides excellent amenities for all the family. Although tucked away, all amenities are on the doorstep with some excellent restaurants, quaint tea rooms and interesting shops to browse. Explore the quirky narrow streets which wind their way down to the pretty harbour, cross the swing bridge to the cobbled market place, or sample the excellent fish and chips on offer. Climbing the 199 steps up to the Abbey is well worth the effort, for the spectacular views along the dramatic coastline. Why not take an invigorating walk along the Cleveland Way trail, or for the brave at heart, book an evening ghost walk? There is so much to do in this popular town, whether its building sandcastles on the long sandy beaches, taking a trip on a steam train or enjoying the delightful gardens at Pannet Park. The surrounding countryside is truly beautiful, with heather clad moors and the tiny coastal villages of Runswick Bay, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay are close by with the larger, vibrant resort of Scarborough a short drive away. A very comfortable and well-equipped home for the perfect holiday. Note: This property adjoins Ref. 922765, together they sleep 12.
