Ramblers Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its cleanliness, cosy comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Its proximity to local amenities and transport links makes it an ideal base for exploring the North York Moors & Coast. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including walking guides and a well-stocked kitchen, although some noted the lack of a private garden and the occasional smell of dogs.
Guests consistently note the cottage's spotless condition and the absence of pet hair, despite it being dog-friendly. One review mentioned a minor issue with kitchen items, but this seems to be an isolated incident.
The cottage's location is frequently commended for its quiet setting and easy access to Whitby and other attractions via train or car. The convenience to local shops and the village's charm are also highlighted.
Many guests find the beds comfy and the cottage cosy, especially with the log burner. However, some guests mention the sofas being a bit 'tired' and the mattresses too firm for their liking.
The property is lauded for its well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, and entertainment options like board games and Amazon Prime. A few guests had issues with heating controls and suggested minor improvements.
