Foodies can head to enjoy the market town of Malton 16.5 miles away, known as Yorkshire s Food Capital and perfect for tasting and buying local artisan produce. Otherwise, take some time to explore two of England s historic monasteries at Byland Abbey (7 miles) and the extensive ruins and museum at Rievaulx Abbey, 7 and 16 miles respectively.
