The cottage sits on a quiet country lane but is a 5-minute walk from the main bus route to the lively city of Aberdeen. You are ideally located for exploring the North East of Scotland whilst only a 3-hour drive from Edinburgh.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a deep bath and overhead shower, a country kitchen and a fully enclosed garden surrounded by a dry stone dyke. A multifuel stove provides a lovely central point in the sitting room and heats the radiators, this is backed up by fitted electric radiators but lighting the stove provides a most comfortable and cosy environment. All logs are provided and provides lashings of hot water for the deep bath. Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and has a king size bed, Bedroom 2 is a cute but spacious loft bedroom and has high quality twin beds with lovely bedding nestled under sloping ceilings and a feature stone wall. Great for children but spacious enough for 2 adults. The sitting room is decorated in traditional Scottish style and has a dining area. The country kitchen is fully equipped, including a Dolce Gusto coffee machine and dishwasher. Outside there is a summer house with lounger chairs which catches the sun even on a breezy day, BBQ and dining table with parasol. There is parking for 2 cars and storage for your own bikes.

If you don’t want to drive then 5 minutes from the cottage you can catch a bus to Aberdeen for shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. Equally the cottage can be reached by train to Aberdeen and then bus to the cottage. You can cycle for miles in the area. Half an hour’s drive takes you to villages like Pennan and Crovie, this coastline is one not to be missed with so many delightful fishing villages to explore as well as stunning beaches. Cullen is worth a visit, with a good Fish and Chip shop which has an excellent Vegan menu. You can sit and eat at tables provided overlooking the bay. An hour away is the Cairngorms National Park, with Balmoral Castle. Closer to home there is Peterhead Prison Museum, Historic Aden Country Park, Hoodles Play Barn, Bennachie Hills with easy paths to the Mither Tap for a spectacular view. Cruden bay with its fantastic beach is 15 minutes away as is Slains Castle the home of Dracula. Delightful Stonehaven with Dunnotar Castle is within an hour.

There are several Stone Circles the closest being Aikey Brae, just 5 miles away. A network of disused railway lines provides excellent safe walks and bike rides as do the tracks through the Forrest of Deer. Seals, Dolphins and Whales are all spotted off our coastlines and at Troup Head or Bullars of Buchan you can find Puffins. There is something for everyone, golfing, fishing, walking, cycling, wildlife and magical history.
