It is in a rural location in the lovely village of Kilchrenan on the beautiful Loch Awe. It has mountain views and a delightful burn running along the bottom of the garden. The house is wonderful in the summer with lovely walks and stunning wildlife on the doorstep and is also very cosy in the winter with a wood burner.

There is an excellent pub a short walk from the house and there are two hotels in the village a short drive away. It is half an hour from Oban, the ‘Gateway to the Isles’, which also has a full range of shops and supermarkets. Local facilities are available in the nearby village of Taynuilt which has a grocers, café, butchers and Post Office.

Kilchrenan sits on Loch Awe, the longest fresh water loch in Scotland, which is known for its fishing and boats that are available to hire on the loch. There’s a wide range of tourist attractions and activities in the area suitable for all ages, including Inveraray Castle, Oban Distillery, Seafari wildlife boat trip, Cruachan Visitor Centre, Inverawe Smokehouse, Inveraray Jail, kayaking and golf. Swimming and racket sports are available at Oban Leisure Centre. You could take a ferry from Oban to visit the Isle of Mull or continue on to the Isle of Staffa with its amazing rock formations, Fingal’s Cave and puffins. It is also possible to visit the beautiful Island of Iona with its white sand beaches or to visit the Island of Islay and tour its whiskey distilleries. There is something for everybody and the area will appeal to families, walkers, dog owners, wildlife enthusiasts and those just wanting to relax in beautiful surroundings.

The garden has two patio areas and slopes down to a lively burn at the end of the garden. The garden is not enclosed and children and dogs will need appropriate supervision. There is private parking for up to 3 cars. The house has oil fired central heating and towels and bed linen are provided. A cot, highchair and stairgates are available for infants.
