With comfort in mind for guests the cottage has been beautifully renovated from the modern well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable and cosy bedrooms, not to mention the bathrooms. Everything here is guaranteed to make your stay here memorable. Kites Cottage sits on a hill overlooking Lockerbie and the hills beyond. The views are far reaching and when the weather is fine you can enjoy the outdoors, where you can sit and relax taking in the view disturbed by nothing but the wildlife, sheep and cattle in the fields below the garden. From the cottage you can take a walk in the stunning countryside surrounding the cottage and on those chillier days return to cosy up in front of the wood burner.

Kite’s Cottage is situated within the environment of a traditional Scottish country estate and working farm. From late August/September to the end of the year pheasants are present and farm machinery, from time to time, uses the country lane and the track by the cottage.

The market town of Lockerbie is about 3 miles away, close enough for convenience, far enough away for peace and tranquillity. The town provides all local amenities including some lovely little shops and restaurants. Lockerbie has a train station with excellent links to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Carlisle if you fancy a day trip. However, Dumfries and Galloway, with its fascinating history, stunning scenery, from forests and glens to beautiful sandy beaches and coastal villages is just waiting to be explored!
