This charming cottage, forming the ground floor of a courtyard conversion, adjacent to the owners’ home, is situated in the quiet village of Lochans, in between the harbour town of Stranraer and the lovely coastal village of Portpatrick.
A fantastic location for walkers with the Southern Upland Way passing close by and numerous walks throughout the area from sandy bays to clifftop walks. There are also many beautiful gardens in the area with lovely walks open to the public - Castle Kennedy, Glenwhan and Logan. Drummore close by is the most southerly village in Scotland, and is home to the Mull of Galloway with its rspb visitor centre and thousands of nesting birds.
There are plentiful golf courses including Creachmore Glenluce, or Dunskey at Portpatrick. Stranraer has many shops, restaurants and bars. There are many historical sites in the area, including the Castle of St. John in the town. The Lochryan Centre has a fantastic swimming pool. The ferry can be taken from Cairnryan for a day trip to Belfast or continue up the coast to Ayrshire to explore further. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
