Situated in the quiet village of Kirkinner, Boot Cottage is cosy and comfortable, perfect for a couple.. Ground Floor:

Shower room: With shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.. First Floor:
Bedroom: With kingsize bed.. Electric heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack.. Rear garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. On road parking. No smoking.. Boot Cottage is a delightful little terraced cottage in Kirkinner close to the Machars coastline. Boot Cottage has been renovated over the years, and on one renovation, they discovered a single boot hidden in the walls of the cottage. Known as ’concealment shoes’, they were hidden in the 19th and early 20th centuries, supposedly to ward off evil. Hence the name ’Boot Cottage’!
The cottage is the perfect base for a couple to enjoy the many wonders of this lovely area. Downstairs there is a cosy open plan living/dining/kitchen area and a shower room, and upstairs is a good sized double bedroom. The garden to the rear is totally enclosed, perfect for your four legged friend.
Boot Cottage is close to many interesting places to visit in the area. Wigtown, Scotland’s very own book town, has become a much loved attraction. Book Town Week attracts visitors from afar as well as many famous authors who offer lectures and book signings. Enjoy the rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches which benefit from the warmth of the passing Gulf Stream. A must is a visit to the world renowned Logan Botanical Garden with its many exotic plants and trees. The Unesco World Heritage site of the Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park is close by with its superb dark skies at night and is well worth visiting. There are many walking and cycling trails on your doorstep, as well as golf, sailing, fishing and riding. With a wealth of things to do in the area, Boot Cottage is the perfect location. Beach 5 miles. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
