Nearby is Thornhill with shops, hotels and an 18-hole golf course. The nearby Mabie Farm Park with quad bikes and astro turf slides also makes a great day out. The Galloway Forest Park and The Mabie Forest, both close by, are famed for off-road cycling and walking, with the Seven Stanes and National Cycle Network also passing nearby.
