This Scottish retreat, believed to date back to 1605, is perfect for a couple seeking to explore the delights that this corner of Fife has to offer, including a dramatic coastline, historical landmarks and a multitude of walking opportunities. After an action-packed day, look forward to relaxing into your evening within the elegant interior, where the contemporary furnishings and colour palette create a refreshing ambiance for your week-long break. This all-ground-floor accommodation comes with a well-equipped kitchen, where you will find everything to fulfil your culinary needs to prepare a hearty breakfast, pack a picnic to explore the countryside, or a delicious evening meal to enjoy with your loved one at the dining table. After dinner, venture into the sitting room, where a plush sofa awaits you to sink into after an action-packed day and a selection of books to pass a couple of hours before you head to bed. Retire to the double bedroom which oozes character and charm, with the striking orange wall complementing the traditional chest for storing away your holiday items. Newburgh is a royal burgh and parish of Fife, just 20.1 miles away from St Andrews. It lies alongside the River Tay and overlooks the marshy Mugdrum Island. Within the village you will find a superb selection of amenities and access to a number of attractions, including Lindores Abbey Distillery, , the National Trust's Balmerino Abbeythe Backhouse Rossie Estate, and the RHS Partner Garden with rare plants and walking paths.
