Morris & Susan Payton
Stronaba Croft Cabins feature luxurious self-contained cabins in a superb location outside the village of Spean Bridge just north of Fort William in the West Highlands. The cabins have only recently been constructed to our own bespoke design to provide a high quality of comfort and are equipped with everything needed to enjoy a relaxing break in the Highlands.
Each cabin features a fully equipped kitchenette, an en-suite shower room with premium local toiletries, quality linens and luxurious soft fluffy towels. With a comfortable full-size bed and a futon sofa bed, the cabins can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 kids. Underfloor heating and wood burning stoves, will ensure the cabins will remain cosy regardless of the time of the year. Externally, we provide expansive patio areas to take in the wonderful views of the local mountains with fire pits and BBQs to enjoy the outdoors all year round.
Our cabins are located within 18-acres of our rugged but spectacular croft land. Look out for deer, sheep and our Highland cows grazing the fields around the cabins and you may see buzzards soaring overhead - this is a chance to get back to nature without giving up your creature comforts!
Hi- we are Susan & Morris Payton and we look forward to welcoming you to our luxurious new Highland cabins. We also run the adjacent Springburn Farmhouse - a deluxe, boutique style B&B which has been receiving rave reviews since it was refurbished and relaunched in 2020. We are now bringing the same level of luxury accommodation and service to guests within our brand-new log cabins. From the moment you book your stay with us, we will work with you to ensure you have an enjoyable and relaxing time and, if required, we will help plan your itinerary, offering advice on the huge array of things to do and see in the area.
Having spent a great deal of time travelling, we have seen accommodation of all standards so know what is important to our guests and will ensure you receive the same level of service and standard of accommodation we would like to receive ourselves. If, at any time, you need an extra something to enjoy your stay, don't hesitate to let us know and we will do our utmost to assist.
We are located just outside Spean Bridge - a small village with a convenience store, post office and a couple of excellent restaurants, a pub and a great cafe. In addition, there is a huge selection of quality restaurants a short drive away in Fort William, which also features numerous shops, supermarkets, various attractions including the West Highland Museum and new a state-of-the-art cinema with cafe.
We are the ideal location to take in the ‘Big 3’ of the West Highlands - Ben Nevis, Loch Ness, and the Isle of Skye. Also within easy reach are Glencoe, Oban and Mallaig along the stunning ‘Road to the Isles’.
One of the biggest local attractions is the Jacobite Steam Train journey from Fort William to Mallaig. Known as the ‘Hogwarts Express’ from the Harry Potter films, it crosses the magnificent Glenfinnan Viaduct – one of the most striking features of the Highlands. This trip can be combined with a short cruise in Mallaig where you are likely to see dolphins, basking sharks, seals and sea eagles. Tickets for the Steam Train need to be booked well in advance.
With so much to do and see locally, we are happy to help you plan your itinerary and offer advice on local activities
