Enjoy a scenic and relaxing break in this semi-detached fisherman’s cottage in the lovely village of Kingston-on-Spey on the Moray coast. In a wonderful position just yards from the stunning Moray Firth coastline, this delightfully cosy and very comfortable cottage is an ideal choice at any time of the year. It makes an ideal retreat to return to after sampling the many attractions the area has to offer. An unspoilt wildlife paradise, this part of the Moray coast is home to many forms of wildlife. There are a huge variety of bird and beachlife here, from waders and ospreys to dolphins and seals which are all regularly sighted from the shoreline. There is a good golf course just a few hundred yards away with another at Spey Bay, 4 miles, and there is a restaurant in the adjoining village of Garmouth. This relatively little known area of Scotland is an absolute delight with stunning expanses of shingly beach dunes forming a barrier to the water inlets of the River Spey, renowned for good fishing and beautiful walks. There are bracing and invigorating walks along the Speyside Way and beaches literally from the doorstep where the plaintive cry of the gulls make an evocative backdrop to the sound of the waves on the shore. Inland the Whisky Trail is a must with many well known distilleries offering tours and tasting. The scenery inland is equally as stunning with easy access to the Cairngorm National Park from the cottage. Closer is Elgin with its cathedral and cashmere outlet or take a trip to Gordon Castle Estate which is set in ancient woodland on the banks of the River Spey. Beach 50 yards. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
