Adjacent to the owner’s home, it lies just a 5-minute walk from the shoreline and the sandy beach, which has tropical palms fronting the promenade, and yachts moored out in the sheltered bay. Millport itself offers cafés, shops, bars and a bistro, and is home to Europe’s smallest cathedral and the narrowest house in the UK. The Isle of Cumbrae offers a truly relaxing escape, and is hugely popular with cyclists and walkers, yet is only a short ferry crossing from Largs on the Ayrshire coast. A haven for wildlife, the island attracts migrant birds from around the world, and the flora is equally varied; a visit to the island’s marine research station, with its museum and aquarium, is a must. There is a watersports centre on the island, with various courses available including kayaking and canoeing. The main Newton Bay offers sheltered anchorages and moorings. Beach 200 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
Free WiFi
The first basket of logs for the woodburner is supplied free of charge, remainder can be bought at £5.00 per basket. 2 Dogs only.
