Rhianfa is a well-received cottage, praised for its ideal location near the beach and forest, dog-friendly amenities, and secure garden. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches, including a welcome pack. While some cleanliness issues were noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests eager to return.
Most guests found Rhianfa to be clean and well-maintained, though a few noted cleanliness issues such as floors not hoovered under sofas and a dirty shower cubicle. These appear to be isolated incidents rather than a consistent trend.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to Newborough woods and beach, as well as easy access to walking areas and views of the Snowdonia mountain range. The village amenities like a shop and pub add to the convenience.
Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with good quality furniture and a cosy layout. Some guests mentioned the beds being comfy and the garden being a suntrap. However, a few found the settees uncomfortable, slightly lowering the score.
The cottage is well-equipped with a range cooker, TV with gadgets, and a secure garden. Some maintenance issues were mentioned, such as a stiff front door lock and a damp wall, suggesting room for improvement in upkeep.
The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of dog treats, a welcome pack, and detailed instructions. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note that such extras, though delightful, are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
Nestled in the very heart of the Welsh village of Newborough, is this traditional semi-detached cottage dating back to 1859, boasting a sleek finish. This quaint little property rests on the fringes of the forest and dunes of the south-west corner of Anglesey, with access to many beautiful beaches close by, the ideal retreat to bring family and friends. Take the time to chill out in the sitting room, there is much to entertain you with a Smart TV, DVD player and BOSE Bluetooth speakers available, to be enjoyed in front of the woodburning stove on a cold wintry evening. When it comes to preparing a meal, the kitchen is well-appointed with everything required to conveniently assist your holiday break. Picnic sets and cool bags are also available for those adventurous days out to the beach or national parks. Stroll through to the dining room from the kitchen, where the large table provides enough room for four with space for a highchair if you have little ones. The two double bedrooms resting on the first floor are accompanied by a modern-style bathroom, with contemporary fixtures contrasting beautifully with the exposed stone wall, adding a touch of character and a nod to its heritage. The exterior boasts a fully enclosed garden which extends out to the rear and occupies two lovely sitting areas for you to choose where to sit and relax, while the kids run around with the dogs. The views from the garden are simply marvellous, and on a clear day you can see down to the Menai Strait and even Snowdonia in the far distance. Perhaps enjoy your breakfast out here one sunshine-filled morning. There are books and guide maps available inside the cottage to help you decide where to visit during your stay. Nearby, Llanddwyn Bay and Newborough Warren promise alternative days out, with fabulous beach and glorious wildlife to be explored. The fun is simply never ending with many attractions to suit all tastes. An exquisite retreat to make the most of.
The village of Newborough lies on the edge of forests and dunes at the south west corner of Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing! Behind the beach, the 1500 acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to abundant wildlife and is protected as a National Nature Reserve.
