This delightful property is the perfect retreat for large groups with a passion for the outdoors. Situated in a quiet, riverside location at the end of a farm track, this sympathetically renovated barn is across the courtyard from the owners farmhouse, but guests can still expect privacy. With the river so close, guests can enjoy two stretches of salmon and trout fishing. Flowing through the farm s 50 acres, the river has a spectacular gorge and 20 foot pool, which makes it perfect for canoeists and swimmers who can brave the cold temperatures. There are also miles of walking and cycling trails from your door, in addition to more well known routes at nearby Cwm Rhaeader, a popular destination for mountain bikers. The villages of Rhandirmwyn and Cilycwm are both within 3 miles, with their village shops and pubs. Once a mining area, there are also lots of historic sites to explore nearby. Packed with rustic charm, this property offers picturesque views of the beautiful setting as well as providing plenty of space for up to ten guests. The open plan lounge/diner has floor to ceiling windows to allow guests to appreciate the stunning location during the day, but it is also the perfect place to relax in front of the wood burner of an evening. Exposed beams and floorboards add character throughout. The oak kitchen is charming and its six ring gas hob and electric oven makes cooking for ten people easy; you can then enjoy your meal at the large farmhouse table and chairs. A handy utility room adjoins the barn, which is a great place for drying out muddy boots and wet gear. Completing the ground floor is a super king size bedroom (which can be made up as twins on request) and a wet room with a shower. Up the handcrafted stairs, you will find the four other bedrooms: a double room with an en suite shower room, two king size rooms and a twin room. All the bedrooms are well presented and afford views of the Cambrian mountains and river. Also on this floor is a shower room with a double shower as well as a family bathroom with a shower over the spa bath. Back on the ground floor, patio doors from the lounge open onto a large south facing patio with a charcoal BBQ and garden furniture. This is the ideal place for al fresco dining, and as the sun sets you can make the most of the darkness by partaking in a spot of stargazing. The patio has a ramp for wheelchairs and a portable telescopic ramp provides entry into the barn. To the rear there is a lawn with a badminton net and access to the utility room and stables with safe storage for fishing equipment, bikes and canoes. There is ample parking in the farmyard which has direct access through the front door into the lounge.
