Tucked away in the tranquil village of Llanboidy in Carmarthenshire is this traditional cottage, Little House. Within close proximity to amenities including a local village shop and boasting a well-equipped kitchen and woodburning stove with additional oil heater, Little House welcomes two guests and their four-legged companion for a truly rural getaway in unspoiled South Wales. After crossing the threshold into your new home-from-home, sink into the futon in the sitting room which can be used as a sofa or bed and relax in the warmth of a woodburning stove as your significant other cooks up a storm. Sit down at the dining table and tuck into a feast, reflecting on your favourite memories so far over a bottle of wine, or venture outside and bask in your surroundings a little longer on the private patio. When the sun sets, ascend the stairs and wash away the day in an en-suite shower room before clambering into a sumptuous double bed. Take a walk along one of the many footpaths around the village and if you can tear yourself away from your rural idyll, meet some of the local furry occupants at Pembrokeshire Llamas, the ideal tourist hotspot for animal lovers. Visit Laugharne to take in the stunning architecture of Laugharne Castle and soak up the history of the life and times of Dylan Thomas, before dipping your toes into the sand pathways at Llansteffan Beach. Have a picnic at Colby Woodland near Amroth, which is managed by the National Trust and make sure you take in the spectacular Wales Coast Path along the way. You'll never run out of things to do because the mythical Preseli Hills, the birthplace of Stonehenge is on your doorstep and a short drive will take you to the bustling and historic market town of Carmarthen. Llanboidy is a tiny Welsh village with two inns, a Spar store, and a post office. The closest town is St Clears, a small community located inland between Carmarthen and the Pembrokeshire coast's seaside attractions. The region is perfect for walkers, cyclists, and explorers alike and is great for visiting the South Wales coastline. The mound of the 12th-century St. Clears Castle can still be seen in St. Clears, which also contains a number of shops, taverns, and restaurants. The town also hosts numerous festivals and carnivals throughout the year.
