Riverside cottage has been renovated in 2021 to a high standard and sits on the edge of The Brecon Beacons National park. Nestled in Upper Cwmtwrch at the foot of the Black Mountain, there are three walks onto the base of the mountain that are within 500 yards of the cottage, two of which do not even include walking on main roads.

Cyclists are also catered for with the national cycle network routes close to the property at Ystradgynlais and Cwmllynfell, and is ideal for families with children with ‘away from the road’ cycling.

There are also some more challenging climbing routes for the more serious cyclist all within easy range. If you just want to take in the beauty of the village or have a bite to eat, then there are two food serving pubs within walking distance or have a round of golf which is just 2 miles away. For those wanting to explore, Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in south Wales, is only 25 miles from the property, and for beach lovers the Gower Peninsula is 18 miles away.

Rhossilli Bay is a must see and has some fabulous walks across to Worms Head, just remember to check when the tide comes in, or you may get stuck for a couple of hours! Another must visit is the waterfalls of Henrhyd, sure to make for a great day out exploring the natural wildlife and waterfalls.

The National Show Caves for Wales are a short drive from the property and have some wonderful caves, as well as some amazing dinosaurs and play areas; a great way to spend the day with your children. Riverside Cottage is centrally located and accessible to the nearest town, Ystradgynlais, 2 miles away. The breath-taking Gower Peninsula, with its miles of golden beaches, is within easy reach, as are historic castles, and some of the finest waterfalls in the UK.

Horse riding can also be found 5 miles away. Whether you are looking for a fun-filled holiday full of activity, a group of walkers looking to explore the great outdoors, or couples looking for a revitalizing escape to simply chill out, Riverside Cottage has it all!
