This restored quarry cottage has all the charm you’d expect in a traditional Welsh cottage, with all your home comforts and more. The spacious kitchen is very well equipped and a fabulous social space to enjoy an evening meal chatting about the day’s adventures. All the bedrooms have been equipped with your comfort in mind, who will be lucky enough to bag the top floor room with views of the waterfall in the distance! Outside there’s an enclosed spacious garden and sitting out area, a lovely spot to take in the fabulous views and peace and quiet of this village.
A rural location yet there is a pub only 3 miles away in Penmachno to enjoy. A little further down the valley is Betws Y Coed where you’ll be able to stock up on all your essentials. There are also some lovely independent shops to browse around, river walks and golf. From the cottage you are only a few minutes away form the hidden gem Penmachno Bike Trails, and further down the valley, the famous Marin Bike Trails at Gwydir Forrest. Minutes from the doorstep there are some breath taking walks. You can even take a wander around the now disused slate quarry, or for the more adventurous, why no delve below and take a tour into the caves with ’Go Below Underground Adventures’. You are also only a short drive to the Llechwedd Slate Quarry where you’ll find Bounce Below, more bike trails and a zip wire. What fantastic base from which to explore the region, no matter your interest there’s something for all ages to experience.
