Be welcomed into the open-plan living space, where you can look forward to whipping up hearty meals in the well-equipped kitchen, utilising the electric oven and hob and fridge/freezer, there is also a washing machine available for keeping your holiday wardrobe fresh! Settle down at the dining table to tuck-in to a flavourful meal as you uncork a bottle of wine and toast to a memorable getaway. After a satisfying meal, retreat to the plush three-seater sofa, where you can kick-back and relax in front of the crackling woodburning stove whilst selecting your favourite series from the Smart TV. Wash away the day with a refreshing rinse under the rainfall shower, before wrapping yourself up in a toasty towel, courtesy of the heated towel rail. As your eyes grow heavy, climb the stairs to the first floor, where you will discover two well-presented bedrooms, a super-king-size with zip/link and a king-size, both with plenty of storage for your belongings and perfect for catching your rest in ahead of a day of adventures. Take the morning off from the kitchen and venture over to the popular Lakeside Café, where you can treat your loved ones to a steaming cup of coffee and a home-cooked breakfast with beautiful views overlooking the Tanygrisiau Reservoir. Afterwards, why not blow away the cobwebs with a wander up to the picturesque Cwmorthin Waterfall? Nearby you will find the fascinating former slate mine of Cwmorthin, where you can wander the remains of the historic site, as well as the glorious Cwmorthin Lake, where you can cast your rod and seek out your catch of the day or take in the sights with a leisurely lakeside walk. Head into the centre of Blaenau Ffestiniog, where you will find a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes where you can sample the local delights, Descent Adventures where you can try your hand at gorge walking, hill walking, waterfall jumping and mine exploration, and the well-known Zip World Llechwedd, which offers fantastic tours through the underground mines, history exhibits, and the unique Bounce Below experience. Next stop is Porthmadog, where you can hop aboard the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway and soak up the fabulous surrounding views, explore the ports rich history at the Maritime Museum or tuck-in to fresh fish and chips as you watch the world go by on the harbour. Snowdonia National Park is just a short drive away from Blaenau Ffestiniog, a fascinating old slate town. Shops, taverns, and restaurants may be found throughout the city. Zip Line Slate Caverns, Europe's longest zip line and the fastest in the world, are among the most popular attractions in the area. As a result of their unesco-designated status as a world historic site, the slate mines are open to the public, allowing them to experience mining in the days of yore.
