About this property

This cosy and traditional end-terraced cottage sits in a lovely village location at the end of Bala Lake, right in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

Enlli is right in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in the small village of Llanuwchllyn at the end of the spectacular Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid). This pet friendly property even has a dog friendly village pub and little shop right opposite, perfect after a day out walking by the lake or in the local Cambrian Mountains. Bala is 5.5 miles away and the beach at Barmouth 23 miles.

This traditional end terraced property has two wood burning stoves (initial logs provided), one in the cosy lounge, which also has a lovely slate floor, two comfortable sofas, Freeview TV/DVD and WiFi and the other in the spacious separate dining room, which has a dining table and chairs and another large sofa bed. The fitted kitchen is well equipped, with integral appliances, to include an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Also on the ground floor is a utility room with WC and basin which is also great for keeping outdoor clothing and muddy boots. Stairs lead from the lounge to the two bedrooms; a good sized double room with painted wooden floors and matching modern wooden furniture and bed, and a twin room also with painted floor and wooden furniture. The compact shower room has a shower cubicle with electric shower. There is central heating throughout. To the rear of the property is a shared access alleyway and beyond that the enclosed, slate surfaced garden, with a picnic bench and further seating. There is roadside parking a short distance from the property.

Llanuwchllyn is the starting point for the Bala Lake Railway; a steam train takes you on scenic journey along the lake. The Eagles pub opposite the house does good pub food, is in the Good Beer Guide and has a little shop with basic supplies open from 7am each day. The small town of Bala has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. The lake is popular for watersports and angling with lots of good walking and cycling also in the area. A short drive takes you to the Tryweryn Whitewater Rafting Centre and further again to the seaside resorts of Barmouth and Porthmadog and all that Snowdonia has to offer.
