A stylish open-plan living space greets you housing all the home comforts you need for a relaxing break. Take advantage of the kitchen area which hosts a gas hob and electric oven and rustle up a delicious breakfast to enjoy on the decking as you gaze out to the lake. Snuggle up with your other half on the sofa to watch TV after a day of exploring, and when sleep calls venture off to the bedroom for some well-earned rest. Pull down the delightful Donegal Tweed blinds, which tastefully match the headboard and throw cushions, and sink into the plush double bed. Carrigart is a quaint seaside resort resting in County Donegal, just to the east of the area known as Sheephaven Bay. The village boasts a quintessentially Irish feel throughout and hosts two pubs, a takeaway, a chemist, a butchers and two supermarkets, making for an ideal tourist destination at any time of year. There is also a pleasant park within the village which is ideal for a peaceful stroll or a picnic in the sun.

Everything there you need and no need to bring anything with you. Quiet and ideal if you want piece and quiet. Even has a hot tub. Iâll be back.

The Cabin was spotlessly clean, well furnished and provides what is needed for a self-catering stay, including some outdoor cooking on the wood-burning chimera (wood and fire-making materials all provided). Internet provision was fast, so research on the area was easy. HD TV was provided through Netflix, Amazon Prime, AppleTV+ etc. The surrounding area provides beautiful scenery and you are well rewarded during trips to Glenveagh National Park, Horn Head, Melmore Head peninsula, Fanad Head Lighthouse or just around the Mulroy Bay. There is also plenty of choice of places to eat out, from Pizza & Burgers to excellent Fish in Fisk Seafood Bar, Downings. The owner, Shane, was on hand during part of the week, to ensure all was well, plus provide recommendations within the local area. For a holiday and break, in this part of Ireland, well recommended.
