Families and couples are welcome at Walnut Cottage. The comfortable holiday home is within the owner's arable farm, two miles from Burnham Market and Stanhoe and a short drive from the North Norfolk Coast and its beautiful beaches. There is a lot of space, including a quarter-acre enclosed garden with parking for two cars and a boat and three bedrooms to accommodate five people. Bookings are available for self-catering holidays in all seasons, which is excellent, as this region is ideal for migratory bird watching, walking, cycling, sailing, paddle-boarding, fishing and golf. 

Walnut Cottage lets you enjoy the best of Norfolk. It's a great holiday home conveniently located in Muckleton, between Burnham Market and Stanhoe. You're surrounded by countryside with scenic walks and only a short drive from the breathtaking North Norfolk coastline and beaches like Brancaster, Wells and Holkham. The layout of the cottage is very family-friendly. It sleeps five people in three bedrooms (The Master bedroom is an ensuite loo and shower room) with a travel cot, stair gate and highchair available. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, and the garden is enclosed so they can play safely. There's off-street parking and even space for guests who have a boat.

Burnham Market is two miles north of Walnut Cottage. Most of its shops are independently owned, including the fantastic deli, the fish shop, and the village shop, as well as various clothes shops gift shops etc. We recommend a visit to the local vineyard at Burn Valley Vineyard, one of many dog-friendly businesses in the area. One mile south of your holiday home. Stanhoe is a pretty village with traditional flint cottages and a history dating back to the Romans. Stop by the Duck Inn (next to the duck pond, so you can't miss it), where your dog will also feel welcome.

There is a lot to keep you busy while staying at Walnut Cottage. Sailing, Kayaking and paddle-boarding at Brancaster Staithe and Burnham Overy is popular, and golfers have a choice of nearby courses. Wonderful beaches Brancaster, Wells, Holkham-Next-the-Sea are about three miles away. Local attractions include stately homes like Sandringham House, Blickling Hall and Houghton Hall. Take your binoculars to Pensthorpe nature reserve or the rspb reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell. Alternatively, admire the views from the Coastal Path, Peddars Way, or along the route to National Trust Scolt Head Island. Wear the kids out at roarr! Dinosaur Park, Snettisham Deer and Animal Park or theTree Top course at Holkham and Sandringham , there is a choice of farms and play areas.

Walnut Cottage is a two-storey holiday home in a rural location with beautiful views. Thoughtful touches make it very practical family-pet- friendly, comfortable cottage to stay. We don't specialise in fluffy white bathrobes and candles! Its a fun family/couple/pet cottage to relax with out the worry of sticky fingers or paws spoiling your stay.

Downstairs:

Leather sofas and a fireplace with a realistic-looking electric wood burner make the sitting room a welcoming room to relax after a busy day exploring. Watch the horses in the adjacent paddock during the day, then close the curtains and put a film on the TV at night.

A kitchen/diner is fully equipped with all you'll need to cook and serve meals for five people. Appliances include a dishwasher, washing machine, tumbler, microwave, coffee machine etc for your convenience.

Looking into the garden, the conservatory is a lovely spot to enjoy the outside while staying warm on cooler days .

The family bathroom has a bath and shower, WC and a hand basin.

Upstairs:

The main bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and fitted storage. It has an ensuite with walk in shower, WC and a hand basin.

Bedroom Two is a double with ample storage.

Bedroom Three has a single bed, a bedside table, and a chest of drawers.

Outside: The enclosed garden and parking space encompass a quarter of an acre. The lawn is enclosed for games, and there's space for two cars and a boat. An outdoor seating area has a charcoal barbecue.

Additional Information: Bed linen, bath towels and utilities are included. The cottage is on the owner's arable farm. Dogs are welcome. Smoking indoors is not allowed.
