First off the post code for the sat nav takes you to a crematorium but it is next door, A rather large site but the caravan is located in quite a nice part of,the park first key code was incorrect but did find the correct one in the email , did send our details etc as asked to the two emails for them to register our car reg numbers and for security at the gates , that bounced back as not recognised but the gates were wide open all the time ,the advertised bar and shop don’t exist or the office ( buildings are there but closed ) should be removed from description.First impression inside looked nice but the settee and arm chair are badly stained and the carpet smells possibly of dogs ,even the lamp shade on the ceiling is stained .We were staying seven days , there was no cleaning products , 1 tea towel , an inch of washing up liquid , ( first place ever no tea, sugar coffee ) 1 and a half toilet rolls , no hand soaps , a mis match of cups about six plates and bowls , the kitchen bowl was cracked, no baking trays to use the oven dirty pans that the non stick has been scraped away dirty knives and forks, the freezer draws were dirty , the mop and bucket were horrible , the vacuum cleaner stunk and the bottom beater didn’t work , the shower was red hot and you couldn’t get it cooler had to reduce the heat of the water on the boiler to make the shower bearable the decking outside was green where the rubber mats had been , something not very nice on the front balcony , dirty ash tray in the box seat , file in caravan said the spa would be checked daily never saw a sole , didn’t use it , On the plus side the wildlife from deer , hares , bats etc in the field behind , the bed sheets and bath towels etc were very good , seemed to be a new air fryer and microwave the site is very handy for the famous Northumberland sites , Castles etc so in short if you want a boozy weekend with a spa and take away pizza fine

We arrived after getting lost for 30min. Directions could be a bit more descriptive as caravan is right at very end . We were sent 2 different code numbers to get key , glad we took both . Caravan is nicely kept, little bits that could have been cleaned ie toaster, cutlery drawer and vacuum was nearly full but nothing major. Unfortunately no one told us the Tavern/shop and site office was now shut up . We had a problem one day as shops are quite a long way away . Came back with a frozen shop to find we had no electric . Apparently it had been off for a while . The numbers we had to ring no longer existed or no one answered , so my husband had to get in car and go hunting for someone to help . Eventually we got a chap to put electric back on. This power cut knocked out tv channels. Felt a bit vulnerable especially at night as no security or staff on site . Awkward when you can’t get a phone signal . Can’t complain about the caravan but would have liked to be told about the changes before we booked . Please watch out crossing the A1 , it’s extremely busy . When looking for the van, keep left and don’t go over the black bridge , carry on then go over the blue bridge . You definitely need a car . Still wondering why we had to send vehicle details to site as there is no security barrier and no one about to check . Not a site to go to if you have mobility problems. We enjoyed our weeks break but wished we had been told about the changes. To be honest if we had known we wouldn’t have chosen this site . .

The lodge was very nice and roomy but the cleaning could have been a bit more thorough the bins needed cleaning when the bag was taken out and also the cupboard within, there was a big cobweb in the lounge area and the hoover was absolutely full of muck, the back of the toilet was a bit dusty. Bed was comfortable thought
