a car is useful for exploring the wonderful surroundings of North Devon, however there is a bus service that runs at 30 minute intervals, a 3 minute walk from the lodge to the bus stop. the bus can take you to Ilfracombe about 5 minutes away or further in the opposite direction to Barnstaple or even on to Westward Ho!
