Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage generally receives praise for its cleanliness, with guests finding it delightful and immaculate. However, there are isolated reports of cleanliness issues, such as remnants under the toilet seat and a stained mattress cover, which slightly lower the score.

The location is highly regarded for its tranquillity and proximity to Salcombe, with guests enjoying the surrounding countryside and wildlife. The scenic walks and the quiet setting contribute to a positive experience, although some guests mention difficulty in finding the property and narrow lanes.

While the cottage's furnishings and garden are appreciated, comfort is compromised by reports of uncomfortable beds and a lack of some amenities. The feedback on comfort is mixed, with some guests enjoying their stay and others experiencing discomfort.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and pleasant outdoor areas. However, maintenance issues such as a leaking shower and problematic hot water supply affect the score. Some guests also suggest the addition of more crockery and bedroom hooks.

Guests often mention a thoughtful welcome gift, which adds a personal touch to their stay. While these gestures are appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary.

It had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The porch was very handy for cleaning the dogs before entering the property. It is in a quiet location but within easy reach of Salcombe and the surrounding area.

Very clean, quiet and comfy, with a lovely garden. Handy footpaths for dog walks, but also beautiful walk through Batson into Salcombe along creek, dog could be off lead. Then coffee and boat trips to spectacular beaches, and back. Totally perfect!

This property was immaculately clean and welcoming. The kitchen was kitted out with everything you needed and more. We all commented on how comfortable the beds and settees were as well. We were lucky with the weather and had a barbeque one night, which was a joy to be sat outside. Particularly happy with the downstairs toilet as we had a toddler who was in bed for 7pm, so no tiptoeing around.
