Dog-friendly things to do
Carefree coastal walks
The section of the South-West coast path between Salcombe and Hope is considered one of the most beautiful, with some truly spectacular views. It’s reasonably level, so it’s perfect for a leisurely stroll. You’ll see peregrines and kestrels soaring above and glimpse quaint coves below. If you finish your walk in Hope Cove, The Lobster Pod makes a great spot for lunch. If you prefer a circular walk, then Snape’s point is ideal. It’s got plentiful parking and is glorious in the early morning light.
Enjoy a great meal
Salcombe has plenty of places to grab a delicious bite to eat, and many of them welcome dogs. Special mention has to go to The Victoria Inn, in the heart of the town, with their À lá Bark menu, and speciality Snuffle Dog ales.
