Tucked away on the outskirts of the pretty village of Tedburn St Mary is Great Huish Farm. Approximately seven miles from the historic city of Exeter, this 40 acre sheep farm is just a short drive away from the north eastern edge of the Dartmoor National Park. The original ploughman's quarters have been expertly converted from a 16th century long barn where the heavy horses were stabled, to two superb, adjoining holiday homes. The Furrow, the larger of the two, retains much of the character of the original barn with ancient beams and sloping ceilings. The living space is bright, airy and open plan, complete with wood burning stove and oak floors and encompasses a stylish kitchen area. A winding staircase leads to two bedrooms, one of which has glazed doors overlooking the pony field below. To the side of the property is a lovely secluded patio with garden furniture, this leads to a lawned garden, which is shared with its neighbour, The Yoke.
Tedburn St Mary is in inland Devon, 3 miles from the Dartmoor National Park and 7.5 miles from Exeter. The streets are lined with thatched cottages, pub and a shop. It hosts the Tedburn Fair every September, stone cottages, a 1930s Methodist church, a golf course and a farmers' market. Close by is Dartmoor National Park which has walking, pony trekking, golfing and villages. Exeter is within driving distance and boasts great architecture, theatre productions and shops, eateries and cinemas. Other attractions include Crealy Adverture Park, the beaches at Exmouth and Teignmouth and the National Trust properties of Castle Drogo, Killerton House and Lydford Gorge. Tedburn St Mary is a fabulous holiday destination.

Located in a beautiful spot. Warm and cozy place to stay. Close to lot of places to visit and easy to get to local store and pub. Lovely little village. The property missed tiny bits like kitchen rolls, should've provided small milk can, not enough pans. Missed electric car charging points but the landlord is getting that sorted now. He took the kids around his farm , they enjoyed that bit.

Lovely location quiet countryside ideal for walking and visiting surrounding area .Only downside no window in main bedroom that you can open only doors, which would be ok in summer but not in the winter .
