Bower Cottage has been cleverly furnished and equipped to a high standard and features a large open-plan sitting, kitchen and dining room which is perfect for gathering all the family together. The ground floor accommodation also includes two double and two twin bedrooms. Part of a collection of three stunning properties at Stapleford Farm, guests have the privilege of enjoying the far reaching views, space and countryside that surrounds the properties, and there is a courtyard style garden with picnic benches for relaxing and enjoying al fresco dining.
The quaint village of Hooke is tucked away in the Dorset Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has a picturesque pond and 15th century church at its centre. There are interesting walks of varying length in the immediate vicinity, and abundant wildlife around. To the south of Hooke lies the iron aged hill fort of Eggardon and close by are numerous pretty villages and the historic towns of Beaminster and Bridport.

There’s literally not a day goes by when either my parents in law or my children don’t ask me when we are going back! Given the 74 year age gap from the oldest to the youngest in our party everyone’s needs were covered and all had a lovely holiday. Near to the coast and other wonderful attractions and run by a lovely family who hosted us - it was just the perfect long weekend away.

We've had a lovely week at Bower Cottage over Christmas. On arrival, we really appreciated someone popping in to welcome us and the provisions in the cottage. The location is ideal for a relaxing break but with the option to step out of the front door and walk around the beautiful countryside. The cottage didn't lack anyting and the open plan layout enabled people to have plenty of space to themselves. Every room was spotlessly clean and well thought out. We're already thinking about coming back again for a short break. Thanks and happy 2020.
