About this property

This magnificent property benefits from a tranquil setting, in the heart of a working farm. Enjoy relaxing picnics in the idyllic paddock or take a dog walk through the owner’s grounds. Challenge your fellow guests to a game of tennis, followed by a soak in your own private hot tub. Pick up produce for dinner from the on-site farm shop or grab a coffee from the cafe, before heading out to explore the surrounding area. The historic town of Sherborne is 5 miles away and the pretty village of Cerne Abbas is 12.5 miles from the property.

Cross the beautiful courtyard and enter the luxurious stone barn conversion. The single-storey property features a striking open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with an impressive vaulted ceiling, exposed trusses, vibrant soft furnishings and a roaring wood burner. This sociable space makes the perfect backdrop for celebrating special occasions with friends and family. Several of the bedrooms have flexible accommodation, meaning they can be made up as twins to suit your needs. There is also an annexe with a separate entrance, which is ideal for two families holidaying together. Heading outdoors, discover a multitude of treats, including a private hot tub, games room and bar, BBQ, shared tennis court plus ample space for al fresco dining and country walks.

If you can tear yourself away from this spectacular holiday home, the surrounding area is well worth exploring. Picture-perfect Sherborne is a vibrant market town, with a quaint ochre-coloured high street of independent shops, romantic castle ruins and a glorious golden abbey. Pack a picnic and spend the afternoon at the grand Montacute House (8.5 miles). Marvel at the fascinating artefacts in the Elizabethan mansion, wander around the landscaped gardens, eat your sandwiches on the vast lawn and take long walks through the woodland estate.
