Only a 10 minute drive from the sea at Lyme Regis and positioned near the A35 on the Dorset/Devon border the whole of the Jurassic Coast, now a World Heritage site, is within easy reach.  Lyme Regis itself is a truly fantastic place. Situated on the magnificent unesco Jurassic Coast, it's known as the pearl of Dorset and upon visiting, it's easy to see why. A famous spot for fossil hunters worldwide, it also sits on the South West Coast Path and offers a whole host of wonderful hikes and walks nearby.  Charmouth seaside village is also nearby, reached by car.  It has a small selection of shops and a post office as well as pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront provides a wealth of information about local geology, rock pooling and fossil collecting. There is also a large park, with a well-equipped children's playground nearby. A great location for walkers; the South West Coast footpath and a network of inland footpaths allow visitors to explore the stunning West Dorset coast and countryside. There are also regular bus routes running through Charmouth village along the Jurassic coast and it's only a five-minute drive to the historic seaside town of Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb Harbour and Promenade.
