Set in a converted 16th century building, the Chard Museum has plenty of displays which detail its rich history and heritage since the 13th century. Travel further afield towards the coast of Devon and Dorset and spend the day at one of its delightful beaches; build sandcastles, learn how to surf or simply lie back and soak up the sun during the summer months. Venture into the parent town of Chard for a larger choice of shops and pubs, as well as a wealth of history to be discovered.

Our hosts were really nice. The location was great which we took advantage of exploring the coast and neighbouring villages not forgetting the lovely little pub which was on the doorstep.
