Guests are delighted with Platform 9 3/4, praising its beautiful location, secure garden, and dog-friendly environment. The cottage offers a peaceful retreat with comfortable amenities, including a hot tub. Hosts Mandy and Jon receive commendations for their hospitality. While proximity to the train line is noted, it does not detract from the overall positive experience.
The property is consistently described as clean and tidy. One mention of unclean cutlery due to a previous guest or dishwasher issue slightly impacts the score, but overall, the high standard of cleanliness is evident.
The location is appreciated for its beauty and tranquility, with lovely canal walks and a secure garden. The presence of a train line is mentioned, but most guests report getting used to it quickly. The rural setting is ideal for a peaceful getaway, though it may not suit those seeking a bustling environment.
Comfort is highly rated, with guests mentioning comfortable beds and a well-decorated accommodation. The second bedroom's size is noted as small by one guest, but overall, the property provides a relaxing and comfortable stay.
Facilities are well-received, with the hot tub being a highlight. The property is equipped with a well-stocked kitchen, secure garden, and entertainment options like a PlayStation. A minor issue with a PlayStation cable and dishwasher does not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of a welcome hamper and helpful information provided. While such gifts are greatly appreciated by guests, it is noted that these are a bonus and may vary with each stay.

It is lovely and peaceful and despite being next to train line they did not bother us, lovely walks along the canal. Good base for visiting Somerset or just to chill and relax.

The name Platform 9 3/4 is a clue that trains do run past, however, this is not an issue, it does not distract from the gorgeous surroundings. We had a dog with us and the walks along the canal are fabulous, the garden is fabulous. Its a very dog friendly area. The holiday let is just stunning, 10 out of 10!! Mandy and Jon are fantastic hosts. Follow the directions given from Mandy and you will not get lost. We ate at the Merry Monk, which is a super friendly pub and dog friendly. Food was delicious. We wanted quiet, peaceful and stress free, this delivers. Its a great base for daily outings or to just stay and enjoy the hot tub. I'm going to say its absolutely rubbish as I do want to book again and I don't want it to be booked up ;) Its highly recommended, we will be going back. Its just perfect :) Thank you so much for a great stay. See you soon **
