Garden with patio, sitting-out area, wood fired pizza oven and BBQ. On road parking. No smoking. Please note: There are 3 steps in the garden.. Set in the pretty hamlet of Healaugh, just over a mile from Reeth, South View is a double fronted stone cottage with outside space to the front and rear taking in the atmosphere and views in beautiful Swaledale. The cottage is full of character and charm and combines many of the original features with modern day facilities. Enter by the front porch into a dining room complete with wood burner and dining table for up to six people. The living room has comfortable seating with sofa and chairs and a second wood burner and Smart TV. The galley kitchen is to the rear and leads out to the garden. A raised flagged patio area is accessed by three steps and has wonderful views of the Dales countryside. There is built-in seating and a barbecue perfect to enjoy at the end of the day. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed offering views of beautiful Swaledale, fantastic to wake up to on every morning of your holiday. A second bedroom has twin beds which can be made up as super kingsize on request. Plenty of hanging and drawer space is provided. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over and a second separate toilet is also available.
Out and about there are walks and cycle routes in abundance. This charming Healaugh cottage is just 1-mile west of Reeth, just a pleasant half hour walk along the river with shops, bakeries, pubs, restaurants and popular weekly market. The property is situated right on the coast to coast route and has featured in 2014 Tour de France route which makes it popular with walking and cycling enthusiasts. Just 10 miles to the east is the market town of Richmond with it’s historic castle, colourful market square and beautiful riverside walks, whilst the market towns of Leyburn and Hawes are just a short drive away. Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater and Hardraw Force, England’s highest single drop waterfall, are also all within easy driving distance from the cottage. This is an ideal location for touring the Yorkshire Dales and Moors and the perfect base for a break, at any time of year. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
