Meander the winding streets lined with local shops so that you can pick up any essentials as well as any gifts to take back home, before venturing to one of the two beaches, which are overlooked by the towering Scarborough Castle, a former medieval royal fortress. Within the town are an array of activities to suit all ages, including Alpamare Water Park with its indoor pools, an outdoor infinity pool and a gigantic wave pool and the famous Peasholm Park, with its stunning oriental gardens is also well-worth exploring.
