The village of Briggswath used to be part of the parish of Aislaby, which sits above it on the edge of the moors, but is now part of the parish of Eskdaleside-cum-Ugglebarnby. Super warm house too! Especially the attic bedroom. Great location - we walked the river to Whitby for the day. Parking was a bit of a concern but when we arrived there is a small patch of land on Linden Close where people park and there are no signs/restrictions up. You canât park next to the cottage as the owner doesnât own that land. You could park on the same road on the opposite side too if you didnât mind parking on the road. If you wanted to drive into Whitby, the owner of the cottage has left a parking disc so you can park for free there!
