This traditional stone building has been lovingly refurbished and boldly decorated to create a stunningly modern interior. Kennels has two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. The main open plan living accommodation comprises a fitted kitchen and dining area as well as seating area with views across the surrounding countryside. In the centre of this spacious room is a double-sided woodburning stove which adds considerable charm to an already delightful space.
Kennels is perfect for couples, friends and families who wish to explore this wonderful island. This holiday home is in the grounds of Mount Stuart so there's no reason why you shouldn't go and explore the house and gardens. Open from late March to October, Mount Stuart boasts a marble hall, themes of astrology and astronomy on the vaulted ceiling in the hall and a stunning design throughout. Outside are magnificent gardens to explore, as well as a cafe to enjoy a slice of cake and a pot of tea. The main island town of Rothesay is where you will find castle ruins, a harbour and a selection of shops and pubs. There's also walks and cycle routes on the island, along with birdwatching opportunities and three golf courses.
Rothesay is a wonderful area in the Isle of Bute, with so much to see and do, including visiting the castle ruins, taking in the stunning scenery, discovering the wonderful Mount Stuart House and playing a game of golf on one of the islands three golf courses.
