Alness is an attractive, predominantly stone, Highland village which is famed for its flower displays in season.  It has an excellent range of facilities, including supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, cafés, takeaways and small interesting shops.  It is ideally located for exploring the whole of the Highlands, with the renowned North Coast 500 route passing close by.  There are numerous places of interest within easy reach and stunning sandy beaches are just 15 minutes’ drive away.  The nearby peninsular, known as the Black Isle due to its rich dark soil, is a few minutes’ drive away.  Boat trips run . . .
