Church Gate Cottage in Beaumaris, Anglesey, is highly praised for its cleanliness, scenic location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-maintained garden, peaceful setting, and thoughtful touches like Netflix and a welcome pack. While some minor issues with furnishings and appliances are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Reviews consistently mention the cottage being spotlessly clean and very well maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness. A few minor comments about dampness in bedrooms do not detract significantly from the overall perception of cleanliness.
The cottage's location is frequently described as perfect, with scenic views, tranquility, and proximity to Beaumaris and local walks. The peaceful setting opposite a church and the views of Snowdonia are particularly appreciated.
Comfort is highly rated, with guests finding the cottage warm, welcoming, and the beds comfortable. Some guests mention the sofas being a bit worn and the main bed feeling smaller than advertised, but these are minor points in otherwise positive feedback.
Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi, and entertainment options like Netflix. There are some comments about a small fridge and a worn sofa, but the addition of a new fridge and other amenities are noted positively.
Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack with wine and toiletries, and the provision of bird seed for the garden's wildlife. While these gifts are warmly received, it is politely noted that such extras are subject to change and not guaranteed.
