Guests say

Penlon Cottage offers a comfortable bed and is situated in a nice location, ideal for visitors with relatives in Pwllheli. While some guests have enjoyed their stay, the property appears to require attention, particularly in the garden and with general maintenance.

Guests reported issues with cleanliness, including a dirty cooker, toaster, and oven hood, as well as the presence of a slug in the kitchen. The garden was also noted to be overgrown.

The property is in a nice location, perfect for guests with family in Pwllheli. However, it is about a mile from the town along a busy road with no footpath, making car use essential.

The bed was described as very comfortable, but there were issues with the size of the shower and limited room for clothes. The property was also noted to smell damp upon entry.

Several guests mentioned broken or non-working facilities, including the TV, heaters, and garden gate. The property also lacks Wi-Fi and has limited mobile phone signal.

There is no mention of gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Kitchen there was a large garden slug attached to kitchen unit under cooker. Cooker and toaster very dirty so never used them. Oven hood dirty and you could write your name in the dirt No plugs for either sinks in kitchen or bathroom and could not get hot water from either sink. Anyone of a good size could not get into small shower due to very small access. Actual shower good. T.V volume not working. Bed very comfortable but no mattress protector or pillow protector. Property needs a bit of TLC, stains on carpet, bedding not fitting properly. please be advised no WiFi or mobile phone signal so would not be able to contact anyone in an emergency. TV only has 4 channels Very limited information pack giving details of places to visit, seemed to only have curry house menus and Anglesey. Outside needs cutting back , heavily overgrown , blackberry bushes. Smell from incense sticks was too strong on arrival had to leave outside.
