Guests say

The Lodge in South Wales offers a tranquil setting with stunning views, ideal for dog owners and nature enthusiasts. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, the hot tub, and the property's proximity to walking trails. While some cleanliness and maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment in a beautiful location.

Cleanliness received mixed reviews. Some guests found the Lodge clean and tidy, while others reported finding items like socks and dog hair, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards. The presence of an overflowing dog poo bin and uncleaned BBQ were also noted.

The location is highly praised for its gorgeous, quiet setting with plenty of walks and proximity to local attractions. The natural beauty and peacefulness of the area contribute to a positive experience, despite some comments about the proximity to a busy road.

Comfort levels are generally good, with guests finding the lodge cosy and the beds comfortable. However, some guests mentioned issues with the comfort of the pillows and the noise from an uncarpeted staircase, suggesting room for improvement.

Facilities are appreciated, especially the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as broken lights, a lack of outdoor lighting, and a need for garden upkeep. Some guests suggested the addition of a washing machine.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the owners' consideration for guests' experiences. Therefore, this score cannot be provided.

The flush in the downstairs bathroom did not work properly and you had to take he top of the cistern off to be able to sort it out. The location was great, the hot tub was a great touch and Apart from the above the property was great.

Everything as described and plenty of information. Can highly recommend the Red Cow just down the road, lovely people and great food

  • Gloria

Although totally beyond owners control, this did mean we were unable to make a hot drink or cook and required a 3.5 mile journey to obtain a mobile signal to ascertain what was happening via the National Grid. We found the property absolutely delightful in amazing surroundings. Easily accessible for local towns and mountains!!
