Within the delightful Trewent Park, a collection of holiday homes in the village of Freshwater East in South Wales, find Swanlake Lodge, a three-bedroom property offering charming accommodation for a family holiday to the coast. Suited for a seaside retreat you can enjoy the delights of being just a two minute walk to the beach and close to nearby larger towns, like the historic Pembroke. Come in from a day at the beach to an inviting sitting area, have all six of you take a seat and relax before the TV and settle in for a quiet evening. Decide who's cooking and move into the kitchen and begin preparation for the evening meal, keep the chef company by sitting at the breakfast bar, with a host of appliances to make use of including an electric oven, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher for a quick clean-up. Serve up your creation at the dining table opposite the sitting area, and take stock of the day’s events before planning what's next. Move upstairs to find the three well-presented bedrooms, comprising of two king-size rooms, each with an en-suite shower room, while the last bedroom is a twin and has an en-suite bathroom. Downstairs also has a family shower room as well. When you're ready to venture out head first to Freshwater Beach when the weather is good, delight in making sandcastles with little ones with the golden sands, taking a dip in the sea and exploring the dunes which back the beach. Walk along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and access the remote Swanlake Bay, a shingle beach which reveals beautiful golden sands and rock pools at low tide, it makes for a peaceful and quiet haven. For a more bustling environment visit the county town of Pembroke, and walk around the historic Pembroke Castle before exploring the waterfront of the estuary and finding somewhere good to enjoy a well-deserved meal out. Swanlake Lodge will be a lovely break away from a busy life in south Wales, with beaches, towns and countryside to entertain.
Pembroke is a delightful medieval town, the county town of Pembrokeshire and the birthplace of Henry Tudor. With many historic attractions such as Pembroke Castle, Monkton Old Hall, and being set on the Pembroke River Estuary, you'll never be far from something to do. Along with pubs, restaurants and shops all around, Pembroke makes a great place to visit.

Because it is on the East side it was wonderful to wake up early, walk over to the beach and watch the sunrise. A perfect start to the day! The property is tastefully decorated and has recently been improved with en suite bathrooms in each room which is so handy. I love the heated towel rails!! The owners have thought about everything! Very clean well planned holiday home. Thank you so much for allowing us to share your home.

As a party of 3 retired ladies we very much appreciated the 3 ensuite bedrooms. The location is fairly rural right by the beach, great for families and dogs. The lodge was very well equipped but some fold up garden chairs would have been very useful to use at the rear where the afternoon sun was. I would book again if I wanted to stay in the Pembrokeshire area.
